I started going to Uganda and Rwanda in 2015. I talked to people, discussing challenges, guiding small initiatives. And I started boxing in Uganda, in Zana (a ghetto in Kampala). That led to workshops and personal guidance for people.

In 2016, I met a kind boxer from the DR Congo. The meeting was inspiring. Despite big challenges, he has a peaceful character. In Bukavu, he now leads the Boxing for Peace DR Congo team. You can find more about this team on Instagram (@boxingforpeace.emea).

The Army of Love is a name I gave to the people who, together with me in Zana, initiated a local social work organization.

Vanessa (background photo 2017) in Uganda (Kampala – Zana) had created her own language. She lived in a rough situation. She has been my inspiration to make it my mission to enliven people. “
